The students will be assessed twice in this lesson. The debate rubrics are below. They will be assessed based on the content, flow, and organization of their argument and their clarity, volume, and pace of speech. This will determine whether they can formulate arguments and speak effectively, which are skills they will need within the classroom and in the real-world. They can also be assessed based on their participation in the lecture activities, assignments, student evaluations, and attentiveness during debates.
